I have an appointment at 1:30 today and I am very excited. A couple weeks ago I went to try and get my hair lightened but we ran out of time before I had to work, so I was left with a shade or two lighter hair. (was Black) So today I am going back and my stylist said I would only have to pay for product, not the time. I am a little nervous about how bad my ends will be, and I really dont want to cut a whole lot off. I will upload some pictures at the end of the day (:

Best of luck! I hope it goes great!

There are plenty of people who lighten their hair on LHC, so if you need any tips, just ask. Be extra careful with your hair for the first few days. It may be more dry or weaker than usual. Be sure to pay attention to the protein/moisture balance after lightening. If you hair is dry, straw-like, difficult to detangle etc. then use plenty of moisturizing conditioner. If you find your hair is weak, stretchy or gummy when wet (this happens to me after I lighten), then use a protein treatment to help the hair along! :)

While being able to hold moisture in, i thought it could also keep moisture out? Im afraid to oil it because of that.
