Hey guys, I have a quick silly question. I soak the length of my almost-ap length hair once or twice a week the night before I wash it. I know that coconut oil solidifies at room temperature. So I'm a bit worried about it hardening in the pipes down the shower drain Is this an issue at all or does it not happened? If it does happen is there any way to combat it?

Thx. Like I said, not sure if this happens or not so wanted to ask.

I think it would not be a problem... since it'd be emulsified by the shampoo.

I've used cocunut oil for years and have never had that problem however I also clog the drain with my hair so I use draino every month and a half to unclog it so if worried just use draino to help clean out the back up

You shouldn't have to do that with coconut oil.

Never had that problem myself. Not even when I was in uni and sharing a shower with 4 other people (who weren't particularly good at fishing hair out of the drain)!

I've had issues with hair clogging the drain, but never coconut oil. The hot or warm water (I would think) would dilute and wash all the oil away. If you use shampoo (I don't), panffle is right - it would be emulsified.
