i love showing a pretty new toy in a bun that doesn't look to bad, in hair that's clean and shiny looking :)

Well, I like showing off my updo skills. But, I also like showing off my Nightblooming sticks. I hope they compliment each other... So, I guess both for me!

For me it's both. I love sporting a fun style with unusual accessories. They go hand in hand for me.

Later when I am not so broke and can afford pretty hair toys, I'm sure I'll lean more towards the "Look how well I accessorized today!" conversations at work.

Right now I'm secretly satisfied that many in my office/building are in the "Wow, how did you do that?" updo/braid conversation stage :)

Mostly my curls! But between updos and toys, I would say toys. My updos aren't very good.

I thik I just show off with how long my hair really is...
I think that show off is in the fact that I can have it that long (as a man) and with my intention to grow it to the terminal length...
'Hey, your hair is so long' 'Oh, not as long as it'll be, as I'll never cut it again'
Is that good enough for show off?
:)

Hmmm....my updos are getting (marginally) better, and my toy collection is growing...I say both!

I'd have to say my toys. I'm still not real good at the updos.

Me too...
Well, it depends on the updo...^^
(And I really like to show my haircolor... *g*)

I much prefer getting a compliment on my hair. If somebody compliments whatever I'm using to hold my hair, I don't know what to say. I have nothing to do with how beautiful my sticks and forks are, except for having the good taste to buy them.

This is one reason I don't like Ficarre. They are too showy. You can't even see my hair with one of those things across it. I mean - you can, but who cares?

Hmm...I'd have to say hair styles. Mainly because I don't ever see anyone else with them! I might sometimes see a three strand braid, but that's about it.

I like showing off toys, but I honestly get more compliments on styles when I'm wearing my simplest of toys. I have to actually show people LOOK AT THE DANGLY SPARKLY STICKS, whereas if I do a simple braided bun with plain sticks from claire's, they are like "Wow, how did you DO that?!"

Like Spidermom, I don't care much about hair toys. Sure, a pretty clip or barrette is great for a special occasion, but one of those Goody jaw clips is just fine by me. I'm much more interested in length, condition, and style.

I really would have to say hair toys (though I have few) as I have very limited updo ability at this point!

Loose hair :o I do not feel like I am showing off anything when my hair is up. When it is down, I can be showing off my hair, when it has a good day.

I'm updo stupid so I tend to hide my sloppiness by some really awesome toys.I get compliments on my 60th Street forks all the time as well as my eggplant Ficcare.I heart my toys! They cost enough....sheesh...

Hair toys. I just recently purchased a lot and I'm not too good with updos...

Updos, for sure. And braids and such. I can't afford most of the hair toys that people rave about so much here and have come to conclude that expensive hair toys are not for me. Give me some cheap Claire's black hairsticks and I can make a really nice, compliment-worthy 'do. As my hair has edged to classic and past, the toys tend to get overwhelmed and lost, anyway, in the bulk of the bun or twist or whatever.

Not to say that don't like to wear fun hair sticks or forks every once in a while for a special occasion, or that I would return them if I got them as a gift!

Well, since my crazy hair isn't long enough to do fancy updos, I like showing off hairtoys!

I like showing off my waves, because I never had them before and I always get a reaction to them.

Yep, I would say my hair/curls as well. My updos and hairtoys are pretty plain but when I get a hair compliment then that is the best kind!

Fancy and unusual up-do's, hair toys and the length of my hair

I like to show off hair toys IN a hair style, does that count? I love buns and braids and like to accessorize. I like original stuff, so I shop online a lot.

I'm like Mooglewoo; I like to show off both. I have a serious jewelry addiction, and consider the hair toy addiction a compliment to that. However, I have also been told that styling my hair is my "gift from God,"* so I try to show that off as well. And on first dates, I like to wear half up styles, so I can impress with both (or all three) that way.
*It was a little old lady sitting behind me at my sister's church; isn't that sweet? I was wearing my hair in the reverse roll style, so now I always think of it as "the gift from God" style.

I like showing off my hair as it is - no fancy updos, no shiny hairtoys. My styling abilities are very limited as yet, everytime I've tried something it ended up looking... hairy! Nothing like the style I wanted to get. Definitely better to wear my hair loose and let it have the compliments.

I would say that when I wear my hair down, my curls...when in an updo than my hair toys. :D

I must say Ive shown both off at different times.

However I mostly like showing off the styles- anyone can get the toys, not everyone can do the styles!

Toys!, and I like to imagine people thinking "how does she do that" or "how does her hair stay up with 1 stick"..lol

1/2 updos that show off my longest and prettiest spirals.

Hair styles, although they're not that spectacular, but some people are easily impressed ;-) My hair toys are not that interesting, lol, I usually buy cheap stuff.
