Hey guys, I'm still quite new to this forum so bare with me :)

okay I've seriously been growing my hair for about 3 months now and have already grow an inch (yay), I haven't used heat in about five months and my last dying session was two months ago and I've decided that I'm going to grow the dye out because I want natural hair so it's super healthy! (I have about an inch of roots, not the most flattering look I must say)

i just want to know why my hair feels so much thicker when it's dirty, I mean online the fourth/fifth day of not washing, because after I wash it it's super fine again and doesn't feel thick at all! It's very strange!

also I was wondering can dying/bleach alter hair texture because I always thought my hair was straight but my roots are slightly wavy?

one last thing! I keep getting ends that break! I have no split ends, just random breaking in some areas, is there any way to stop it or minimize it? I put Argan oil on after washing and every third day after I wash. (I CWC wash)

sorry about out the long post :)

Sometimes my hair feels a bit thicker a day or two before a wash, generally when I have dry shampoo in it, so I just put that down to product making it feel thicker. Also after a wash my hair is freshly conditioned/moisturised and completely detangled so that might have something to do with it too.

I'm also growing out dye/bleach, I haven't dyed my hair in 10 months, but I did dye it back to almost my natural colour so it wouldn't look so obvious, and even though I take good care of my hair I still get hairs breaking and becoming weaker at the ends because the damage cant be reversed. I just do my best to snip off any splits/damaged ends as and when I see them.

As for the change in texture, I've heard of people who's hair has became slightly more wavy, or more defined waves/curls, when they started taking better care of their hair, so I would say yes damage from bleach and dye can alter the texture of the hair :)

I have fine hair too and when it gets "dirty" it feels a little stiffer which might feel like thicker. To me it's more stringy and my scalp is more likely to show through the hair. After washing, it is softer and more flexible.

Yes mine feels stiff too! It's so annoying! I'm also growing out some snapped hair so I have a shorter bit! Hopefully it just grows quick! It's so sad watching it grow slowly because I can see my roots slowwwwlyyyy getting more!
