Thank you! It took forever because I did a couple big trims to get rid of bleached and/or damaged ends! Ahhhhh this is the longest my hair has ever been. I didn't even realize how long it was until recently. I think I'm going to stop growing it at hip length though.

How much did you trim throughout your journey? It is beautiful though! Your length is just amazing. I'm so jealous.

Starting out I trimmed pretty regularly because all through 2007-up to early spring 2010 I had been bleaching my hair. The first picture you see of me is when I dyed over the bleach blonde with semi-perm brown.
My first major trim was December 2010. I was growing it out from a bob so I wanted it shaped with layers.

After that I got 1/2" to 1" trims every 4-6 months until March 2013 where my hair had gotten pretty long and needed to be shaped. So I got about 1" off to shape it and add layers and get dead ends off.

The very last picture is actually from yesterday! Measuring from my crown to ends is 32" and I'd say it's MBL (almost waist).

Haha, yes! I think you're right! It was late last night and I counted it like: 2010 - 2011 - 2012 - 2013 and went "OMG FOUR YEARS?!?!?" lol, but yes, 3 years and 5 months!

Again, thank you to everyone for the kindness! After my regular trim that I'll probably get in early spring, I should be at hip length by this time next year! I don't know if I want to grow it too far past that.

I didn't even realize I was growing my hair long until April this year. I think what helped me grow it was just not fussing over it too much. I just let it grow, but didn't do anything too fancy besides some coconut oil treatments.

I think if you just wear it up a lot and don't pay attention to it, it will grow faster because it'll be "out of sight, out of mind."

Also, I think it took my hair a while to get this length because like I said, I got regular trims throughout the past few years.

Lovely hair! It looks great at each length -- you did a great job styling it well and differently for each growth phase. I prefer it long, but then I'm on the LHC growing my own hair to hip! :D

It looks so healthy and great!
