Andd.... although I like my new cut, I kind of regret it!
I want to grow again!

My reason to cut was that it took me an hour every day to brush, even if I wore it up... because my hair is so dense..
Plus it got caught on everything, and the ends were dead. But instead of leaving it shorter but still long, I went for the pixie cut.

So there it went.
The back is about chinlength, as the sides are shorn and the middle is long like a mohawk.
The first hairdresser was a nightmare! He got his razor caught in my hair many times and completely messed up my cut (I doubt if he even had a certificate actually.. and his secretary seemed a bit confused also).. It was totally horrendous. I ended up visiting my trusted hairdresser right after to get it fixed! They were awesome and made it look really great.
Why I had not done that to start with I blame my sense of adventure that has bad timing X3 It ended well, I like my cut very much! The first month I was ecstatic about it!
But now I so miss my long tresses (partially because it is getting cold and my hair doesnt keep my ears warm anymore)! I miss the feel and look of my long red hair.

I rehennaed and feel better already, but I have decided to grow out again. This time without hair-ruining bleach experiments and minimal use of chemical dyes. Henna only.
I will enjoy the length I have in the mean time and I hope I can start fresh. The advantage is that there is no damage to my hair anymore. Where my ends were very dry at first my hair is now in the best condition ever! Smooth and shiny.

Ah! I think that pixie looks super cute on you! To be honest, I'm a little jealous! I love short hair, I just can't pull it off at all!
I bet having just healthy hair is awesome. I'm excited to follow your progress on growing this out.

Yay! Go you! A pixie can be a really liberating experience if its your first time, and even if you do regret it now, you have one huge advantage. You get to start over with fresh healthy hair! I'm trying to grow a pixie out too (6 months post) from some fairly damaged hair that had been dyed and lightened several times. The feel of the fresh growth compared to the few inches of dyed hair I left on is pretty drastic. Good luck with the growing out process, I'm so impatient about mine that I made a blog about it and I've been lurking all over these forums for growth tips =P

It looks very cute on you :) Now you can start again and for sure this time you'll have a healthier hair than before.
I always want to experiment with a very short hair to let my hair grow virgin and start again, but I don't think it suits me :P

Thanks guys that gives me hope and motivation :)
It was a big change for me, as BSL was the very longest I've ever gotten in my life! I hope to grow it back in a healthier state, too :)
I've had short hair many times, so I am used to it, but it does feel a bit like a setback

A fresh start is always good but doing it with an awesome haircut is better. You look amazing!

That looks great!!!

I actually adore pixie cuts...on other people, because every time I chop my hair I regret it. :(

Haha that's kinda my dilemma too. Every two/three years or so I lob it all off, being extremely happy until after a month or so when I think: Why did I do this? My long hair was so pretty?
I even implemented the two week rule, but alas

Thanks for the compliment anyway :) I think your hair is very beautiful Kaelee!

It looks great! You rock that pixie! :rockerdud
When I had mine, I colored and cut the dickens out of it! Long bleached bangs, 1" all over and bright red, long on top and spiked up, you name it, I tried it! Have fun with it while you have it. :)

I think it looks amazing too, you have a lot of striking facial features!

Fresh start is good IMO, I chopped, the chemical damage was a nightmare for me.

I think it's pretty. I shaved my hair off back in July and it was awesome. I sound like a peacock but I never felt prettier. Tho I look forward to having long hair again and virgin too. Just enjoy it. There's a reason you cut it. And now there's reason to grow. :)

you look great. i shaved my head before only I wasn't smart enough to keep it healthy. I think the fact you have a clean slate of healthy hair is wonderful. It will be fun to grow out and have an evolving style for the next 2 years as well. It will keep you from feeling bored with your hair.

Well, wishing you fast growth!

On a side note, - I wonder how your current mohawk would look growing out without trims? I imagine interesting.

I knew a Japanese Model once that had a very unique look, and she did pull off such a hair style. Although I don't know if it was grown out, cut like that intentionally, or if her baby sister decided to give her a makeover

Anyhow, it looked pretty cool.
