Would the shape of your hair ends affect the shape of your ponytail?

If you have straight cut ends, v shaped ends, or u ends how would that affect the shape of a ponytail? pictures please

I'm not sure about for everyone, but when my hair is longer, I have quite a taper, and it gives me the cutest ponytail-- the ends are all spiraled together. When my ends are blunt, I lose the curl in my ponytail.

Also, just FYI, it seems a little strange when a new member pops in requesting photos. :flower:

Definitely does. I have a load of layers at the moment and if I put my hair up in a high ponytail I get it all to look as if it's one length and it looks rather short.
