Hello ladies & gents,

I'm in dire need of some inspiration, I get married in December and have no idea what to do with my hair! I have bum length hair that's naturally wavy (not curly any more thanks to henna :) ) There's just so much of it I don't know what to do.

Can you post pictures of your own wedding hair or even ideas that might work?

Thanks in advance

Nic

I don't have any pictures but to me wedding hair is curly at the ends (i like spirals) and in a half up with a pretty hair toy. Maybe a small slider?? Thats what I would do if I was going to re-do my wedding. And maybe a few jewels put in the length for good measure. Again sorry I don't have pics! Congratulations!!!!

In all honesty, I wear my hair down so little, I am thinking I would love to wear it down, or in a half up, on my wedding day.

I'm pretty uncomplicated, I don't know what you have planned as far as the wedding goes, but I'll probably just have some sort of really special accessory and wear a normal bun, or half up, or maybe a braid. I saw a picture somewhere, that was several braids combined into one braid down the back, with flowers stuck all through it!!! I thought it was gorgeous. I would love to do something like that.

I read through this quickly and at first glance I thought you said "A small SPIDER". :spitting: I was thinking, that's one heck of a wedding!

What style dress do you have? Does it have a really pretty back that you want to show off? You might want to keep that in mind when you're thinking about how you want to wear your hair. Half up, as already mentioned, sounds like a good option.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be beautiful. Congratulations :)

I had half up with curls. Hard to see because my hair was so dark but here's my wedding day hair: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1137333839842&l=d49265db0b

I had mine in a half up, and it was curled with a spiral curling iron. It was really very pretty. I wore extensions, as my own hair was only shoulder length at that point.

Seeshami, I like how you had your hair done in the practice picture. I think it looks gorgeous even in the picture with the veil. I am thinking that when or if the day comes for me, I would want to have long veil and I think my hair would look cute if it was done in the same or similar style to how you had your hair done.

This is my first time posting photos so I hope it works. Here is a photo of my wedding hair. It was done in a waterfall braid and then curled.

Have you seen the movie Troy?
That movie is hair heaven. (Also, Orlando Bloom. I'm in a long term relationship with Legolas.)
Achilles' mother (Thetis) had the most lovely half up...

I was having issues doing a screencap, but...yeah!

Congratulations! I would like to see your dress. I like medieval style, so I found these hairstyles of game of Thrones' girls very nice for long hair and also, very simple to do :)

Since your having a December wedding, you have the chance to do a winter theme! I love winter theme, only because they aren't the norm. Most people get married in spring/summer so usually go flowers and butterflies. You could do a simple bun half up, with white or clear sparkles and pin in white satin ribbons as long as your hair, so they peek out every now and then. That could be really pretty. :D I've never seen a girl with a traditional french braid at her wedding before, but I think that could look really pretty too. Congratulations, and I hope you find a great hairstyle for your day! :flower:

Thank you. It's my Mom's veil. My grandmother made it for her.

Thank you all for the great ideas and links, I'll need to sit and go through them all. I'll hopefully post up a picture of my dress to see if it sparks any more ideas.

Oh, that is a gorgeous dress! I really really love it.

Personally, part of the reason I'm here on LHC is ever since I was little girl I've dreamed of having knee-length princess hair, which I would wear down in lovely curls on my wedding day. :crush: I'm still thinking that's a good plan. I'd probably do something like a waterfall twist braid on the sides to keep it out of my face.

That is a beautiful dress!

Personally, I'd wear my hair up to show it off, perhaps something like this (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=75039)?

Are you wearing a veil? That would affect how you wear it, too, I imagine.
