I have been between APL and BSL the whole time! Trimming off layers and my V hemline. I am a wurly so I quite like a V hemline, but mine was heavily layered up to between chin and collar bone. I may cut a non layered V when it is longer.

I stopped straightening 14 months ago.

Sometimes it doesn't look like much progress! My layers that were once between chin and collarbone are now, um, nipple length.

16 months ago; air dried:

Thanks Crumpet.

Sometimes I do miss it straight. This is 18 months ago, when I decided to grow it. Doesn't feel much longer now.

My 13 year old daughter has wavy-wurly hair, too (2b, with some 2c ringlets around the face... absolutely perfect... I'm jealous, ha ha). I did it up nice for her today and showed her just how beautiful it is when it isn't brushed. She insists on using a brush, and wow, what a difference a wide-tooth comb makes. Yours looks much healthier and thicker now than it did from your picture 18 months ago. It takes time to grow out a v-shaped hemline. Your patience has paid off in giving you nicer hair, ready to grow to new lengths now.

Your hair has beautiful whirls and has gotten thicker. The color is pretty too.

Nothing wrong in maintaining I did it for long enough  it looks fantastically healthy and thick! If you wanted to grow it a bit now you could just micro trim 0.25each month that way you'd still get a bit of growth.
