I just make horrible snarls when I try to crown braid. I can't keep it straight in my head what my hands are supposed to be doing. I'll be good, and then I'll get just a little distracted, and BOOM it's all a mess. *sigh*

That's got to be one of the most comfortable hairstyles ever, too. I can't do "the real thing" like some of you people here, I can only do a "wrapped braid" crown, aka "a fake crown braid". And now that I'm older and my hair is even thinner, it doesn't work so well any more. Boo. :(

Yay! It took me months of practice before I could leave the house in one. Now I can manage to do a good crown braid every 3-4 times I try! They are really challenging!
