How is this hair style done?

So I watch a lot of doctor who. like a LOT of doctor who. some of the long hair styles and buns are just so cool. im sure i will make a tread about it sometime.

Right now i want to know how to do this bun. Liz has maybe sholder lenght hair i think at this point so some of this hair could be fake or have something under it to make it look big.
