It's been officially a month since I decided to grow/care for my hair. It's been a month of experimenting and despite accidental over-oilings and fizzy air-dried hair, I am slowly finding out what works for my hair.

While I've experimented with washing, oils, updos ect one thing I've stuck to is no heat! I haven't blow dried, straightened or hot rollered my hair all month! Well I didn't straighten or curl a ton before anyways, but I did blow dry (on hot *cringe*)about 3 times a week. My scalp is starting to produce less oil thanks to some CO washing, WO washing and occasional sls free shampoo. I've learned how to air dry with minimal frizz and I can't believe how good my hair can look air dried! I really never expected this! Thank you LHC members for your tips and advice!

I am so jealous of your air dried hair! How do you get it to dry so that it's barely frizzy?

It always used to air dry frizzy, but since I stopped using heat styling and learned not to touch my hair with my hands while it's drying it looks way better! I usually wash at night, let it dry for 2 hours and go to bed with it still a tiny bit damp. I also use a very tiny amount of oil on the ends (coconut or Argan).

Wow, what a difference! Looks really great!
I do the same procedure like you, washing at night and a little oil in the ends. It really works out :)

Thank you! I'm so happy to have found all this inspiration on here. I never thought my hair could look this good without blow drying and silicones :)
