Or any type of hair stick bun, really. I've tried and it comes out in 3 seconds.

Here are some easy hair stick buns. They all take under a minute to create, and should be possible with MBL hair. All the videos are made by LHCers:

- Nautilus bun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b86ZH0J7xtE)

- Lazy wrap bun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTt771qkO24)

- Hypno bun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B4eyFiTRqI)

- Celtic knot bun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUQAucReptY)

My first attempt at a nautilus bun. I followed the video link above. I really need to have way more length :-(. It fell out in like 5 minutes

Thanks it's supposed to be a nautilus but it doesn't look like one to me. I think I need practice

I can't do any of those hair dos. I've tried and my hair isn't long enough or it won't hold them. I bought a hairagami set I'm going to use it this winter. I'd like to order the stuff I don't have then create a hairagami page in my photo bucket album. As always I say I will but don't due to a lack of time.

I couldn't do a decent pencil bun or even a nautilus till my hair was at least waist length .

Mine is past waist but it's slippery. Just didn't seem like I had much hair left to pull thru after I made the loop. I will try it damp the next time I wash. Guess my new goal is TB length

Looks good!! Try disk bun next. It's like lazy wrap, but with hair divided in two parts. THE most bullet-proof stay-in-place bun I've tried so far and I only have APL hair.

That's probably the answer I needed I'm no where near waist length. I'm at bsl again I finally got rid of my last layers. Now I'm ready to grow it out.

You should be able to do it soon then I could do it just at mbl and mine is 3.7

That's a great first nautilus! I think you definitely have the necessary length. It took me a while to work out the correct tension, and where to insert the stick for the bun to hold well. You'll get there soon. :)

I might have to try it again when I have time to think about learning a new style.

Thanks!
I've been wearing "lazy wraps", but this one is a little more secure.

I got the disc bun to work for me, today and its holding so great.
I have just right at BSL hair (when its stretched) and its very thick.
