I last had my hair cut in april by a friend of mine, who's a hairdresser. She knows, how "obsessive" I am, so she cuts only as little as possible. I let her cut my hair once a year or so.

Between the cut's at her, I micro trim my hair 2-3 times. After my "real" haircut it usually takes a bit longer, before a micro trim is needed.

But .... now it was time!

So off went about 1 cm/½ inch

Aaaaahhhh it's nice! Ends not quite so frizzy! :)

I love how much of a different a micro trim can make. :)

I was talking about the fact with my husband, that it seems to need a trim more often, when I do it my self ... his respons was, that my scissors were not good enough :agape:

I was in shock, that he even knew!

I bought an inexpensive ($30.00) pair of hair scissors that are only used for my hair. I am growing out layers but am unwilling to sacrifice any length, so I microtrim every 3 months. Only 1/4 inch for me. I am aiming for a hybrid fairytale/U hemline at terminal, so this should be effective.

Half inch makes a real difference for me while anything less than that really doesn't. I love freshly trimmed ends, enjoy!

With me, it needs to be about an inch at least, or I'm not gonna notice. :D Everyone's mileage varies, I guess.

Nice isn't it, when you have freshly cut ends?
