How often do you sharpen you shears?

How often do you sharpen your hair scissors? Mine came with free sharpening for life, and I'm wondering when I should send them in.

If they've been put into pockets a few times without their case and gotten a little grit in them, do you think that's a big problem?

I never have. :bigeyes: I was planning on buying new ones before my next trim, anyway.

My $300 ones, every 6 months. My barbering shears, I toss and buy fresh ones. I use a product called Cool Care to clean, disinfect and lubricate them.

I buy cheap ones so I pitch them I'd try looking at them seeing if they're scratched or dull looking. Then I'd send them in or read the warranty for a guideline.

I didnt know you were supposed to
