Hello all!

I discovered a fascinating article that I felt was worth sharing:
Artist Makes Realistic-Looking Leaves from Human Hair (http://www.odditycentral.com/pics/artists-makes-realistic-looking-leaves-from-human-hair.html). Gorgeous pictures are embedded within the link!

Here are two more:

Zaira Pulido’s Human Hair Embroideries (http://www.odditycentral.com/pics/zaira-pulidos-human-hair-embroideries.html); and

Artist Draws Portrait with His Own Hair (http://www.odditycentral.com/videos/artist-draws-portrait-with-his-own-hair.html) ...embedded within this link are 2 more articles (!!) regarding other artists who use human hair as medium for jewelry and clothing --the latter seems less surprising somehow, but no less cool IMHO.)

Personally, I never realized hair "sculpture" art existed! :) That got the wheels turning and...

I was thinking we could start up an art enthusiast hair-themed thread (If there isn't one already!). It could include interesting internet findings, links to famous paintings or artist's websites, personal sketches, etc... Obviously, the art within this thread wouldn't necessarily extend to the beautiful up-dos or artful creations of that sort as the Mane Forum provides plenty of great threads for that already. ;)

Now it's your turn: what artful things have you discovered recently that captured your imagination? Are there artists whom you admire whose work includes hair-themed pieces? Or, as an artist yourself, do you incorporate your love for longhair into your work? Please share with the rest of us all the creative love.
I hope this topic can provide whimsy and inspiration~ :sun:

(Mods, if this sort of topic is better suited for a subcategory please feel free to move this. I couldn't find another place that seemed to fit!)

The following is a recent article from HiFructose feature bizarre yet intriguing hair art by Rebecca Drolen.

:scissors: Warning: there is a piece within which might disturb the scissor-adverse. :scissors:

cool :) I love a good laugh. I'm glad you got to share giggles with your daughter. The eyelash one is so absurd to me. I think my favorite is the earnings - although it took me a while to see it.
