Baking Soda or a diluted sls shampoo?

I've done both, but they were long enough ago and far enough part that I don't remember which I liked better.

Definitely diluted shampoo for me--the baking soda tended to be a little too drying.

I agree, I used to do baking soda but it is pretty harsh, I think it would be best only if you actually got something nasty in your hair like peanut butter or something lol...

I use a little Head and Shoulders on my scalp and scrub gently with my fingers. It cleans well, has great lather, and doesn't feel too harsh.

I usually use the shampoo but occasionally I will put just a tiny bit of BS in it and follow with extra heavy conditioner.

I use Neutrogena's clarifying shampoo. It's easy and it does a great job w/o being too drying.

Head and Shoulders is a clarifying type of shampoo?

I had good results recently with Aveda Hair Detoxifier shampoo. Used in the normal way, undiluted, two applications followed by normal conditioner.

Shampoo by far. Baking soda made my hair matt together like felt. I thought it was destroyed, but two weeks of daily moisture treatments brought it back to normal.

Diluted shampoo. I'm too lazy to mix baing soda with whatever. It's easier to just pour from the bottle. I use Suave Clarifying or V05 Free Me Freesia.

Shampoo (usually undiluted), by far. I mixed in some BS once, and frankly, it was icky. My hair needed massive conditioning after that.

i like herbal essensces degunkify. I typically use it undiluted, but I only use it rarely.

Thanks everyone! I used diluted shampoo. My hair felt so nice afterwards--it was exactly what it needed. :)

I use full strength clarifying shampoo. It so much better than BS, takes so much more build up away and doesn't dry hair or irritate scalp like BS.

The pH on Baking soda is just too much for my skin and hair. Shampoo, at least, has buffers!

I use baking soda mixed with a bit of shampoo to clarify.

Diluted shampoo. Baking soda does not agree with my scalp.

Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying Shampoo, undiluted. Or Giovanni Golden Wheat Shampoo, also undiluted.

A clarifying shampoo, I dilute it a little because I find it easier to spread all over that way. And I often do a "lather - rinse - repeat" routine when I clarify.
