What is your favorite sulfate-free shampoo?

There are probably too many shampoos to do a poll, but what is your favorite sulfate-free shampoo to try, and what is your hair type?
I think this is good information for reference.

When I'm done with my current bottle of shampoo, I'm looking to try something new.

Aubrey's balancing shampoo. It's the only all natural shampoo that I've come across that works great for me. My frizzies are tamed!

I've only ever tried the one brand, but I love the Naked range from Boots (only available in the UK, I believe). My hair is 2c.

On the rare occasion I use shampoo, I usually use Trader Joe's Nourish, which is technically sulfate-free but still contains sulfonate. I have yet to find one in real life that contains neither, but I haven't really looked.

I'm really liking my L'Oreal EverCreme shampoo...Not the intense one though as there are two varieties. It cleans my hair well enough and I really like that the smell is reminiscent of Yankee Candle's 'Campfire Treat' which is one of my all time favorite scents from them. :P They're not the same scent, but they remind me of each other if that makes sense.

Just discovered Aubrey's a few weeks ago, and I love it. Found out last night DH likes it too, told him he'd better not be using it all or else!! The only problem is, it's horribly expensive in the UK, so I use it occasionally, rather than all the time (which I'd prefer to do!) There are 2 types of Argan Oil shampoo I'm aware of, and both of them contain sulfates, to be honest I thought Organix was one of them, but I may be mistaken.

I really like Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing shampoo.

Sanctum (for normal hair). It's natural and cruelty free. I haven't tried more of them besides this one (this is all I could find that wasn't horribly expensive), but this is the best shampoo I ever had. Well I've tried Aubrey Organics (sample), and I found it extremely drying.

I don't use shampoos (shampoo bars and good soap agree with my hair) but if I were to use one, it would be Everyday Shea Vanilla Mint shampoo.

New Dawn's Tea Tree Shampoo. Very mild, doesn't rinse out colour but gets out dirt and oil pretty well. YOu have to shampoo twice with it though.

Naked is the only sulphate-free shampoo I've tried too; before that I was using Lush 'poo bars for years.

I've been using the Naked Body Building shampoo (here (http://www.nakedbodycare.co.uk/naked-volume-body-building-shampoo-fine-to-greasy-hair)) for a good few months now and I like it. My hair is mostly fine but not greasy and it leaves it feeling nice and light (although I wouldn't say there's much difference in the way of volume). When this bottle has run out I'll try the others in the same range.

Me too! I like this a lot, although I get frustrated by the lack of foaming (I recently made the switch from SLS products).

Also, HeartJCreations on etsy (although I'm not positive that it's sulfonate-free as well as SLS/SLES-free).

When I was a Costco member they had a really nice shampoo and conditioner that was sulfate free. I'm at SAMs club now and sadly they don't have anything like that. I've been on the hunt lol. Tresemme had that kerritine low sulfate that's nice.

Shea Moisture Shea Butter Moisture Retention shampoo and L'Oreal EverCreme Intense Nourishing. Both clean my hair without making it tangle. I have had sulfate free shampoos due that to me in the past.

Simply U, volumizing with keratin . I only use it about once a month when I accidentally over-oil and can't correct the problem any other way, but I'm always happy with the results. Cleans up olive oil better than conditioner does, at least on my head.

It's £10.50 here in my local health shop, when I looked it up on the internet it suggested it was $10.50 in the US, but I guess it will differ from place to place.

Very true - this is practically the only shampoo I've found that allows me to wear day 4 hair down.

Also, after switching to SLS-free products, my scalp flakies went almost completely away! :cheese:

I like any of Natures Gate shampoos - especially the Henna one and the Biotin. I think I've used those more than any other brand when I've been using shampoo since stopping sulfates.
I've been using the Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat for the last couple months and I'm just about out of it....It was okay. I think it's a fine shampoo, but I don't love how the scent smells as much when I wash as in the bottle.

If you are feeling adventurous you could try experimenting with making your own! My hair type is 1a/ f/m/ ii/iii with a relatively dry scalp and a shampoo recipe that I enjoy an is pretty easy to make is: 1 4.5 oz castile soap bar, shredded. 4 cups boiling water. Combine them until all soap is dissolved. Then let cool a few min and add a few drops of oil that you like for your hair and a few drops of essential oils you like. And there you go! SHAMPOO!!!

Anothet vote for giovanni smooth as silk. I prefer the newer formulation as it's humectant free. I have fine, wavy bsl hair.

For my 4 year old, who's wavy on the crown and crazy curly underneath, dermorganic shampoo.

I love Pureology Hydrate shampoo (and the matching conditioner as well). My hair is fine, highlighted and colored. The Pureology Hydrate gives my hair moisture and softness without weighing it down.

I switched to sulfate-free in January. I use "The Body Shop" Rainforest Shampoos. I used the Volumizing (for Fine Hair) and recently I've switched to the Balancing (for Oily Hair) just to try it. Both work great!

I ordered them from amazon since I don't go out often.

I love Kenra products, and used the volumizing line before switching to CO-washing. It smells really nice and is a nice mid-level price as far as salon-esque products go. I also really liked how my hair felt when I used Abba in the past, but not when I rinsed it. I think it's because it's a much more natural brand, so my hair felt sort of sticky when I would rinse, but felt very soft and clean when it dried.
