Question about hair type?

I've lurked a bit in the past, but not in a long while and when I went to refresh my memory on length abbreviations and types of hair and all that good stuff some of the links no longer work (in the useful links announcement under the newbie section: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/announcement.php?f=9&a=11). I hope this is the right place to ask... I'm probably just missing something. I'm still figuring out this whole forum thing. Haha!

So can anyone possibly point me in the right direction or explain about hair type again? I'd really appreciate it! :)

I couldn't find it either, so when I was signing up and got to that field I just typed "LHC hair typing" into a search engine. The first hit on google was a link to an archived LHC thread about Fia's hair typing system. It's just descriptions (no pictures), but it was enough to get me started. Hopefully, a veteran user can chime in on this one.

I agree, it seems to be easier to type in what I'm searching for in google and add LHC.
