What do you think?

HAHA whenever a camera comes near me, the shutter is unable to catch me if my hair's a mess. But here's a picture of me when I still had short hair that curled ALL BY ITSELF, my bangs, and it all got greasy after 2 hours!! AGH I'm so glad it's not that short anymore and I did a product-switch.

Hehe..I have some

1)
Dec.'07
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb129/chieeEMIchiee/poufypony.jpg

My dirty greasy hair after sleeping with a braided bun that was brushed out in the morning. I could hardly force it into a pony..like a monster :uhh:

2)
Sept.'07
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb129/chieeEMIchiee/sept07.jpg

After moving to the states my hair was horrible..I had a mjaor shed which really affected my ends (the hand behind the hair is supposed to demonstrate the transparence) and on top of that the burts bees shampoo made my hair super stringy and waxy..:wail:

That photo shows my hair let down from a bun btw...how can it look this messy by just being un-bunned??

I have more horrible photos..I tend to share them to get support :blushing: I also collect them in a folder to see how my hair improves.

Not sure if I like my hair like this or not. I'd just been down the beach, and gone swimming in the sea. This is my hair practically dry and untouched after I'd finished swimming.
I quite like the way you can see all the different colours in my hair, but am not so keen with the frizziness going on around my head!

This is kind of funny for me to be posting in this thread because I haven't ever posted a picture of my hair except in my journal and my first one will be one I consider "bad".

This is my length pic from last month. Its not as nice as my hair can look because its kind of see through on the ends, its flipping out in weird directions, and its very piecey. Not that there is anything wrong with piecey, its just not a normal look for my hair.

Unfortunately I tend to delete the really bad pictures of my hair immediately so this is the best I can do for now. :)

What a cool thread! I must say the pictures are not that bad, it all looks like uncombed hair to me. I have this picture, but it's in my storage and I don't know in which box (out of the countles boxes) it is in. But a description:

I once had a boyfriend who I let cut my hair.... it ended up in what I call the whippersnipper (a devise to cut grass with) look. It was like that awful razor cut hair that lots of women have nowadays, but this was years ago when it was not in fashion. It looked so awful: no volume and just pieces sticking out from everywhere.

I think that Xandergrammy's is my favorite. I love the curly poofiness and just the whole composition of picture in general. That was the first time I had seen it, and it made me smile.

This is such a great thread!! You know it is very rare that I read something and *literally* laugh out loud, like I am here.

I have one I *should* have been too embarrassed to post but was actually my first sig pic! (well I just looked at it and maybe it's not *quite* as bad as I remembered). Blurry, braid waves, too crimped at the bottom, seperated, and from an angle that may make it look shorter than it was. And in retrospect
going out hiking on a 103 degree day was maybe not the best choice.

(edited:faepirate I think that is an amazing gorgeous photograph of you!! I am envious, the lighting is so perfect! I think your hair may not look perfect but doesn't look near as bad as you may think. )

Hee hee...this is easy....I'm not fond of this current hair length at all, so all pictures are bad ones. :p

Here is one from last November (with my natural color):

Here's one that was taken in early March with my hair dark (please excuse my dirty mirror!):

Your friends hair is gorgeous in that picture! And no offense to your favorite red hair color, but I think your hair looks so much better now! So shiny! So happy!

Okay, so unlike the rest of the people in this thread who apparently don't have bad hair days, I've got a good one for you. And I can't even disassociate from this picture because I took it today. Only a few hours ago-- people, there is no excuse.

So, I'd just been whining about how my hair has thinned out a bit over the past 6 months, and I had a new hairstick but I was feeling down on my hair, so I didn't want to take a picture. And then I wanted to try out the new hairstick, and I stuck it in a fast easy hairstick bun, which stayed really well, and eventually, I wanted to take a picture, to see how it was looking... and got even more depressed. This is unwashed for 2 days, uncombed, slightly matted from having my hair down with the window open in my car hair, people. In a bun.

I left out the less obvious things, like the messyness, the weird wavy bit heading down on the right side, the fact that the hairstick makes my bun look anorexic, etc...
I think it's funny that my hair really looks like it's got a goiter! :D

I remembered this thread when I was going through some pics tonight. And here is one at first glance that seems ok - I mean, the hair on top is still holding it's own with some curl and it's pretty neat looking. But check out the hair peeking out from behind my back there. It is a tangled mess - after just two hours of being down! In fact, this was the last time that I wore my hair down in public - August of last year! It took me 45 minutes of finger combing just to get the knots out.http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=6369

Ok, so i just took these pictures specifically for this thread. Mind you i haven't washed my hair in a week and i don't comb it. Also, you can see my roots, which is good because i have decided to not dye my hair anymore (stopped in october of last year), although i will continue to dye my pink stripe. A girl's gotta have some color :D

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c70/EmsWay/pinkside.jpg
This is the side that always waves more than the other. I don't know why that is but one side of my head is straighter than the other. LOL

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c70/EmsWay/hump.jpg
I have this weird hump on the other side. SHRUG

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c70/EmsWay/cowlick.jpg
My cowlick. Here's where you can see all my new growth!!! YAY!!

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c70/EmsWay/back.jpg
And, although i did iron my hair, you can still see the wave in it and how it goes in two different directions. (Also to show off my length, even though i had a bad cut which i cried about but we won't get into that)

Now THAT'S bad hair ;)

Oh my heck, searmecarefully, that is so true! I always have to wait until it is at least halfway dry, or I have bald spots showing through and odd little loopy bits sticking out all over the place. This one was actually my sig photo for a while because my monitor was so bad that I didn't realize just how awful it was -

These have both been seen, and I'm one of those that'll post my bad pics, too. I've posted ones where either the top of my head or the ends aren't even in the pic.

But, for amusement (both from this last November):

First, a fairly 'normal' bad french twist:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/UnnamedGryffon/2007c/nov_frenchtwistish.jpg
The extra loose hair at the top is a big reason why I stopped wearing french twists.

The other reason is.....

Die, french twist, die!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/UnnamedGryffon/2007c/nov_frenchtwistdie.jpg

That was the official death of the french twist, as it lost it's guts. It was a chance picture, as by the time I set the camera down it had fallen out completely, fork and all. I had started to lean forward when I took the pic, as I had hoped it'd stay together. Er, apparently not.

The second was, actually, an attempt to improve on the firstt.

Tending not to keep bad hair pics, it's slim pickings, but ...

http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=579&pictureid=6633

Looking back at this picture from just over a year ago, and considering the improvements I've made with my hair by being at LHC for about three months, I cringe a little at the bushy-ness and the way the hemline looks so strange.
Those horrid metal clips I had worn for years and years ... I got rid of them upon joining LHC. I'm sure they caused a massive amount of damage over time --hair always got caught in them.

This makes me so sad, mainly because of the bitter irony of the situation in which this photo was taken. My husband thought my hair looked pretty and spontaneously decided to take a picture of it.

http://www.angryhornet.com/images/hurr/bad_hair_pic.jpg

*sigh*

This was only last weekend. Scalp cleavage, thin ends, and frizzies. I don't even get frizzies often, but the hotel we were at had hard water and I don't think my hair enjoyed the WO wash I gave it. It also looks like it has no shine and is oily, which it wasn't.

(On the plus side, it was still drying here, and it did look better after I combed it out again.)

Doodlesmart,
My hair looks just like that (your last pic) by about the fourth day after a washing. Like exactly, right down to the extra puffiness at the ends.

I just double checked, but we don't have the same hair type except for thickness (i'm at the other end of wavy and most of my hair is baby fine so on a bad day it sticks out more!). Odd. :P
