Well after yesterdays meet with Prettypolly and Saranne. I was determined to do a number 8 bun, but found it easier to do an infinity bun, especially once I knew it would go in one (Saranne did me one) and this is my first attempt.

I know this isnt much to some but I have wanted to do this and a number 8 since seeing my first one on here. I did manange a number 8 but forgot to flip the end bit so it looked like a bent sausage!

Without further a do, heres my masterpiece. Thanks for teaching me Saranne!

Yay congrats on your new buns, Jojo!
I think the infinity bun is one of the prettiest buns, so that's one I'm also looking forward to (when my hair is long enough). :D

PS: You get extra cheese points for posting pictures, hehe.

Congrats! What a great milestone. It will get much easier when your hair gets a bit longer. I'm a few inches longer than you and can do most styles. Not long to wait now!!

Yay, definitely looks like one to me  You should practise doing them in your daughters hair or a doll or something!

Looks great, Jojo! Your efforts really paid off. It's going to get refined really quickly especially if that is (awesomely) your first one!

Congrats jo! :) I find that I can only do the infinity bun when I stop thinking about which coil to grab and flip, and just let my hands to it. ;)

I honestly never flip anything. Once I got the idea that I'm making an infinity sign back there, I just coil it til it wants to go into that shape, holding it with my left hand (mainly my middle finger and thumb; i'm right-handed).

Then wrap the rest of the hair around the base, still all coiled, til I run out.

Whoopee!!:D Great looking work Jojo!!

I have a problem with this one. Sometimes it looks like a "mutant" infinity bun, as someone on here said in one of her albums. The first time I tried this it stayed in all day and that evening when I took it down, I had really cool waves in my hair from all that twisting LOL! :D We will get there with practice, but with friends like you've got, you'll be way ahead!!! YOU ROCK!!

Thank you for posting this. I am such a hair dork and had no idea that my hair was long enough to even try these. I've got a lot of work to do, but I think I just did one too!!!
