I got a professional haircut today at Juju Salon in Philly and I'm really happy with it. I thought you all would like to see pics :D
I asked her to take off the "bare minimum needed to make it symmetrical" and she did just that. You all would have loved her... only a tiny handful of hair was left on the floor when she was done. :) I can barely feel any difference in length.
Before:
my grown-out DIY home haircut, which I liked for the most part but it was slightly uneven

After - styled at salon:
as it was styled at the salon (lots of tiny twists then dried loose under the hooded dryer)

After - styled at home:
as it was styled by me (gel, wet ponytail on top of my head, dried in a cotton mesh bag in my hooded dryer)

Hard to compare length in pictures because of curl shrinkage, but based on how much hair was left on the floor when she was done, she cut less than half an inch. I'm happy with it.
I'm claiming "BSL-ish" length, because depending on how I style it, it's either a little bit above or below BSL ... close enough lol
