Since I have been experimenting with Sebum Only/No Water, Water Only, Conditioner Only, and Indian hair oils and castor oil and Mega-Tek, I have found things I like about all of them. I love applying the oils and stuff to scalp to stimulate growth and keep scalp clean and healthy, but I cringe at washing them out because you can't do it without also wetting and manipulating the length of your hair. So I am torn between applying and washing out the fun and useful stuff, yet leaving the length alone as much as possible to ease damage there. I want to leave some sebum coating the strands but I always end up back at square one when I wash out oils and stuff on my scalp.
Do the rest of you agonize over that? Have you found a happy medium between applying oils to scalp (which I love) but leaving the length alone with a good layer of healthy sebum on it?
