First post here after long time of lurking! So I am a first generation from South Korea (both of my parents are immigrants), so I have NO mixed blood. I learned that I have a crazy hair color! My hair is such an intense shade of red that it is pitch black! (well the top of it) the ends are sun faded so they are copper-ish?? In the summer you can see red undertones and in the winter it turns blue . I wanted to know NATURAL ways I can enhance and darken my hair color. I have been using red rooibois tea and it works beautifully :3 and I do not want to use henna. Thank you!

Welcome! :waving: It sounds that your hair is a beautiful colour! I try to use rinses made from black tea, cloves, and rosemary to darken my hair in the summer (to avoid the copperish tone on the ends).

If you have a website I think you can hit the 'insert image' button and do it that way. Unless LHC albums are working now, I'm not sure.

Holy moly! Your hair is GORGEOUS! You might call it incredibly weird, but I think it's incredibly beautiful.

I've heard that strong rosemary rinses help bring out auburn/red tones in the hair. And I know that this has definitely worked on the caramel lowlights in my hair, but I don't know how effective it will be on yours. I steep fresh rosemary in water (overnight, usually), and then strain it onto my hair. I usually rinse out right away, but you could use this as a final rinse in your shower, and let it sit in your hair.

Gorgeous! Do you spend a lot of time in the sun? Sometimes that can "bleach" dark hair to a more red color.

The ends of my classic length hair is copperish too! I consider it as natural ombre!! I don't think it's a weird color, in fact while you say you do not want to use henna, I find it is a really awesome way to not only enhance the red in my hair, but also to condition and strengthen it.

Wow, You have a natural ombre! People pay a lot of money for those in a salon.

Gorgeous !
As you are a newbie, some info you might not know : Henna often has a bad reputation because most on the market is low quality and unpure. True henna (the plant only, "body art quality") can be fantastic for hair care. I have used henna sooq's henna many times and really loved her products, and others here have used henna from other sources too and can recommend trustworthy sellers, if you thought henna was "bad" for hair. For some info : http://hennablogspot.com/common-mistakes-and-tips-henna-for-hair/

This being said, your hair is very pretty as it is !

And welcome on the board !

rosemary, and olive oil are both natural substances that can darken hair. That said Olive oil can be horrible for some, and the best thing ever for some. Green tea, and rooibus both bring out red tones, so if you want to encourage that, continue on, but if you are wanting to darken everything up, I would suggest staying away from them and trying either the rosemary or the olive oil, or both.

I think your colour is beautiful!

Your hair is wonderful! Using apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinses has helped bring out the red tones in my hair - might be something worth trying.
