I am on the desperate search for a moon fork by Ravenscroft. I have emailed her but she no longer has the little stars that used to adorn her moons! I would love to have a white one wuth the star, but I will be satisfied with a plain white one as well! My hair is approaching waist but I would like to be at hip. Im not sure what size I would need so please help me out with that! :) My hair, when its not shaved at the sides, is very thick. And fine. So I think a mediumish size will do. Im game for pay or trade, whatever it takes! :)

Maybe you could request a custom fork?

Thank you both for the suggestions! I already tried making a custom order.l but she is not taking requests at this time. So if any of you ladys have a white (i forgot the name of the wood) , bloodwood, or purple heart moonbeam in a 5 or 6 inc size please pm me!! I prefer to pay than trade.. right now my hair collectio only consists of nail polish painted color pencils.. I am new to the hairtoy thing. :)

Six inch would be HUGE! I don't know of anyone who has one.

My biggest size is 4 inch. I do have a bloodwood one, but I don't think I want to sell it right now.

The first lesson in hair toys is
Sometimes you have to wait to get what you want.
Shirl is ill, and makes tiny runs of her moons.

I gave up, and noticed on her Pinterest that she herself uses a claw from Crockett mountain Woodworks.
So I special ordered on in my size.

Now, the claw and moon are similar sizes.
I have medium thick thigh length hair, no shaved zones.
I got a 6 inch claw and it is just a bit too much. At knee, it will be perfect.

There are other crescent stick makers on etsy.
Maybe one of them will custom make what you want?

The crockettmountainwoods claws are good, and they are cheap! I have a purpleheart and a walnut one of those. They hold really well, better than my moons.

But they do not have the same look of a moon.

Hmm.. Im definately not good with this size thing.. thank you guys! Im going to shop around on etsy.. but maybe the BF can try his hand at making me one himself. Ive seen him make quite a few things with his new dremel recently. Then I could make sure to have the right size and wood that I want. Thanks again guys! :)

If you are looking for something that is a similar shape but not a copycat, May I recommend Woodartjewelry? I own one of their 'curly sticks', and they are quite lovely. This is mine - https://www.etsy.com/transaction/123658381?ref=fb2_tnx_image Do be warned that you almost certainly do not want one as big as mine. I have over a 5" ponytail circumference when my hair is packed very tight and am between tbl and classic, and mine is still on the big side for me.
