I use the shampoo and conditioner called Pureology. I got it from the salon. It was very expensive but it works really well with my hair. I was wondering if anyone uses Pureology for shampoo and conditioner? I have heard negative things about Panteen Pro V. I heard that it is like a candle, it coats the hair then eventually the hair breaks. Does anyone know good shampoos and conditioners?
Thanks,
Christine

Pantene works for some people. It probably has tons of cones in it though, so if you used it, you'd have to clarify pretty often...
I never cared for Pantene. I just didn't like the texture of it. I'm so used to runny VO5 I've come to love, other products remind me of lotion or toothpaste! Isn't that odd?

Pureology is top of the line. If you can afford it, it's the way to go. My second choice which I can afford would be the Paul Mitchell Awaupui Wild Ginger Shampoo and keratin cream rinse under the same name.

That is funny that you like a runny shampoo. Pureology is highly concentrated so you use half as much,

Yes I really love Pureology. I'll also try the Paul Mitchell Awaupui Wild Ginger Shampoo and keratin creams. That sounds good.

Whenever I use silicones, I always use Pureology. I really like the Hydrate shampoo and conditioner. I've actually been thinking of using it again. Pureology makes my hair so soft and silky.

Which line of pureology Do you use cmdinoto? I'm debating between the hydrate and the essential repair.
Do you also use any deep treatment from pureology or any other salon line?

I remember, though, that when I used more concentrated shampoos (Herbal Essences, Garnier Fructis) I had to use just as much of those shampoos as I use VO5 shampoo. So, for me it makes little to no sense to continue using more expensive shampoos when I use as much of them as the cheaper shampoo (plus VO5 shampoo doesn't have cones in it like more expensive shampoos tend to have).

I really love Pureology. I think their shampoos and conditioners are fantastic. I particularly like their minty conditioner, I can't remember which one it is off the top of my head but it leaves your scalp feeling tingly fresh! :). I don't actually think they are that pricey considering how long a bottle lasts. I tend to pick some up if I go to my hair dressers for anything :). My mum who goes to the same salon sometimes buys me some for Christmas or birthdays :) <3

I also like Liz Earle's which I only tried the other day and already my hair is loving it. Aveda's Shampure also :).

I loved Pureology when I used it, always left my hair super clean and shiny, even a little bouncy. Same with a line of Kerastase.

My SO even commented on the shine (& he isn't the one to comment on such things)! :)

I bought some samples out of eBay and I used the hydrate line, it left my hair bouncy easy to detangle
Not heavy at all and I don't feel the cone heaviness on my hair, the only thing my curls are gone and I have more waves,
my hair is freeze free also.

I was using suave almond Shea butter while my hair was curlier it was really heavy and getting greasy by the second day,
with a lot of freeze and also it felt dry the only thing I really loved was the curls,
with Pureology it feels clean and has moisture without been heavy.

Anyone used the essential repair? How does it compare with the hydrate and anyone use the deep treatments?.
Overall I thing I'm going to make the switch to Pureology or buy the Sally's knock offs which are by the name of coloresse.

If anyone wants to try them and don't want to buy the big bottles try ebay I got my samples for $6

I use the precious oils shampoo and conditioner. It works well for color treated hair. I have used redkin before and it was OK but pureology really makes my hair smooth and healthy.

I haven't tried very many high end shampoo and conditioners. I do like pantene beautiful lengths conditioner. I haven't tried the shampoo. I use herbal essences long term relationship shampoo when I use the pantene beautiful lengths conditioner. I like them paired together. Now that they brought back the rose hips shampoo and conditioner I've been using that a lot. It smells very pretty. I also like the banana shampoo and conditioner from the body shop.

Reviving this thread because I'm starting my Pureology adventure tonight. I purchased shampoo and conditioner from their "Hydrate" and "Sleek" line to see what my hair likes better. I used Biolage for a while, but I was never quite happy with it.

Bumping this thread! I'd like to purchase sample sizes of the hydrate line this weekend and I'm curious, Has anyone experienced continued success with Pureology?

I used the Hydrate line last summer and loved it! The scent is to die for. And my hair has never been so silky soft. I have frizzy hair and it turns into the biggest frizzball after blow drying it, but when I used Pureology, it came out so shiny and not frizzy at all. I only stopped using it because my forehead kept breaking out and I suspected the silicones in the shampoo to be the reason for the breakouts.

Thank you, Hedwig! I love, love, love the fragrance, too. I used the trial sizes this morning before work. I'll use them up and make my decision then. :)

I love the scent of the hydrate too. I tried the “light” version of the conditioner, but it was still too heavy for my hair. What’s good about it, is you use so little, because it’s super dense and concentrated. I think it would be good for dry or chemically treated hair.
