Hi guys. I’m new here but I have been stalking this site weeks before I got to register: D I LOVE LOVE this place 
This is my hair story:
I have battled many years with my hair. When I first migrated to Australia in 2006 my hair was at this length (sorry that the picture quality is pretty bad, like all my pictures really) – I had one cut before this shot was taken, I was trying to create a V shape which I didn’t end up liking at all, also my hair here is not brushed.

I loved it because I hadn’t grown my hair THIS long since I was in 5th grade ... So when I first arrived here, I felt like I could use a change and so I adventured into trying different hairstyles until I could find what suits me best. I first went to try layers, then bobs, then chin length and even dyed my hair a couple of time with both highlights and whole colour – didn’t like it! – I had all sorts of bangs to – didn’t like that either! So fast-forward to now, I have learned that my hair is best long, and even better, the longer it gets, the better it made me look and feel. My hair is now, softer, behaves wonderfully, its not to thin and not to thick, I don’t brush it unless it’s a special occasion because I actually like the natural untamed way it gets to. I don’t use any type of heat stylists, no hairsprays etc. just antidandruff shampoo every 2 to 3 days. My fringe has grown and its down to my shoulders, it sits perfectly! My hair is of a darkish brown colour and I love it like this  I have thought of dying it lighter but I don’t want to spoil my natural look so for now it will stay like this and im very happy with this decision  I have planned to maybe dye it again when I go grey as I get older… however, I have a feeling that I might keep it natural even then and accept me the way I am (speaking for myself personally)

Here is a few pictures taken every 4-5 months of my hair growth. The very first short haircut was taken on the 17 of May 2012. That haircut was a very drastic one for me, previous to it my hair was half way down my back but very very layered and damaged so the decision at the time was made to cut my hair to the very healthiest length and that was it! From then on I had to keep my hair up for almost a year because my hair will not cooperate at short lengths, it was very wild!

And here is my hair right now, these pics are from tonight, sorry about the bad lighting again.

BEFORE i brush it

AFTER its brushed

Im not sure what length and hair type I would classify mine to be because I’m not familiar with the terms used on this site so if anybody could help me out I will be very grateful  This length is wearable down, It’s a lot easier to manage but I CANT wait to have it soo much longer… and with that, im speaking beyond classic length :D

Apologies for such a long post, if you could read all of that, I thank you very very much :)

p.s. I REALLY hope that the pictures worked in this post. Its my very first time doing this :o

I love the way your hair looks when it is untamed. I also let my hair stay messy sometimes. It is easier for me.

LOVE your hair - i can just picture mine being just like yours at that length :) I think i saved a lot of breakage by not brushing :)

I'm new here, too. Your hair is very pretty. I'm glad you didn't color it. I'm also growing my hair. Mine is below bra strap (BS) length and I will really love it when it's at waist length (WS). I'm trying to get my photo album started but I think my photos on device are to big and I have to find out how to edit them so I can use them.

Your hair looks as if its longer than APL, armpit length and on it's way to BS length. It will look even more beautiful as it grows:)
