Hi everyone!

So when I find this site at first and finish to read all about the different hair classifications (the hair typing link was still available back then) I was sure my hair type is 1b, sometimes 1a. Even before LHC I was wearing braids all the time, so I barely see my natural hair texture. I wear it down only in wash days, but then I brush when it dump, because it easier (I also oil it a little bit so it helps).

But then I didn't brush it and get this:

I washed my hair, and let it air dry without any product on it and without brushing.
So... What is my hair type?

I would say 1c, seems a little too undefined for 2a.

Oh my goodness; that's so pretty it almost takes my breath away. I think it's 2B. I'm sure about the 2, not so sure about the B.

But wow!

That's washed and unbrushed?

2b, definitely. Welcome to wavy-hood!

I'm not too sure on the hairtyping - Just wanted to say how pretty your hair looks with the sun shining on it.

........I'll be off now

Those are some gorgeous locks you got there, miss! :p I would say it's a 2a, keep in mind the longer is your hair the more relaxed the waves will appear because of the weight (at least in my experince). I would love to see it braided!

another vote for 2a/b-ish. it's so long and thick looking, to the point there's almost no wave BSL and upwards from being weighed down and stretched out.

excellent hair genetics btw, it's so thick and healthy all the way down, i don't see much taper for such a length!

I'd say 2A.

Probably 2a, with long hair I look at the ends and I don't see quite enough wave/ curl for 2b. Gorgeous and healthy either way!

You're definitely in the 2 range if your hair is that long, but still retains waves!

I'd guess 2b, given that some of your wave pattern is visible at the scalp even with the weight of your hair trying to pull it out. It also looks to me like you *might* have hair that responds to curl friendly care by getting a stronger wave or curl, so that might be worth trying :).

Gorgeous hair. I also really like the bun in your avatar.

I think you are more like a 2b than a 2a, your waves have a defined S pattern.

I'd guess 2a-- or 2b, if the "b" can stand for "beeeaaaaauuuutiful!!!" :thud:

Your wave pattern is similar to mine, tho I have almost spirals in places. I call myself a 2b so you are too. You might want to try a catnip soak and leave in to see if you can get even more waves. Worked for me.

First of all, thank you all for the nice compliments! You made my day :)
And thank you for helping me. It seems like I have wavy hair texture, and I didn't notice! All the hair around my face, shoulders and all the way down to BSL have really starched pattern because all the weight, so it was a little confusing. I obviously need to do it more because it get a lot of volume this way. So... yay for being wavy!!! :)

Your hair is a lot wavier than my 1c/2a hair is.

I'd go with 2b. It sure is beautiful :)

I'd guess either 2a or 2b. It's kinda hard to tell for me though due to how much the length stretches the waves out.

It's either 2a or 2b. I don't remember the difference between the two, though.
