I came back on the forum about a month ago (mainly lurking in the shadows) since my summer hols have started, so i've also started taking care of my hair.

I was a normal straight haired child praying for wavy/curly hair and since i hit puberty it went a tiny bit wavy (first pic), last week i started CO with Garnier fortifying shine (?) and haven't used Shampoo at all.

I'm also putting coconut oil on my ends at night and before i shower i use either coconut or olive oil as well as trying to comb rather than brush (i've brushed about 3 times in the week)
Any way i've just noticed the difference and couldn't even wait until tomorrow to post

Going to try and wean my hair off sulfates/cones as my hair LOVES them but i'm pretty happy at the moment.

Hair is slightly greasy in this one, was taken about a month ago.

This was taken tonight (roots slightly weighed due to not washing conditioner out properly)

That's nice that you discovered waves, and that you actually love them. I remember when I was going through puberty, hating my frizzy texture. It looks about 1c, *maybe* 2a to me.

Wow - those waves are really cute! I'm glad you found what's working for you ^^

Oh and also; if you want more curls/waves you can try to leave some condition in your hair with some oil, coconut is fine, and then do two braids to sleep in - parting in the middle and then start braid from the face to the back into pigtails. Those always give me some really nice braid waves that actually stick for a day or so with the conditioner in.

Thanks, woke up this morning and it's in between the two pics now (i always lose volume after sleep apart from on the top of my head - got a fringe)

I have done braids before but my layers fall out so the sides stay quite straight/loose waves, i did a single french braid and the same happened and two french braids leaves a gap in the middle of the back of my head.
Braid waves are pretty though - i sometimes do a french braid during the day when it's drying.

May try scrunching and plunking later - done it once and it goes ok
