hair texture changing-ish

So.... my hair is fine but there's lots. I'm 34 and since I just let it air dry now and i am growing out my natural for about a year and a half.... my hair is getting wavier then its ever been. Maybe kinda frizzier too, but its summer so that's too hard to tell.
I know this is pretty common, just wondering who else has noticed this. The texture just seems different.
