Does everyone do this?

I've got my eye on some lovely hair toys on etsy, but as always, minimal expendable income. So I'm searching the house for stuff to sell on eBay to fund said hair toys. Please make me feel slightly less insane and tell me you all do this too? Lol

Not at all. DH went through training and we sold half our stuff there.

In fact, I think here people sell their old/outworn hairtoys to fund new ones or even swap them which I think it's very smart and great.

I've frequently thought about selling some of my lesser used accessories in order to buy new ones. Then "what ifs" get the best of me, and I cant help thinking what if in the future, I'll need that one that I'd like to sell and then be upset that I sold it. lol.

As far as looking for things around the house to sell... we live pretty basically as it is, so the things we have are the things we need.

I'd buy or recycle things to make hair toys.

I would love to sell things so I could buy other things such as hair toys, but I have a social anxiety issue and dealing with people freaks me out. I'm too afraid to talk to people to sell things.
