OMG! I'm getting a cut!

Well I'm getting a cut *eep*, I'm going from just past tail bone to waist/lower back-so about 8-10 inches. I'm doing it because I'd like to be able to wear my hair out more, which I may not anyhow but you know :lala: I haven't had it cut for about 4 years (which was when I had an accidentel chop-I asked for an inch and they took off about 9!), I'm hoping I'll love it but if not I can always grow it back......;)
I'll post pics if anyone can tell me how?

I was an inch away from TBL, and then decided I wanted it trimmed back to hip, that was about two weeks ago, I'm thinking... yeah, thereabouts. Then today, we went from hip to waist. It feels kinda short, but is kinda better to handle. Oh well, it'll grow back, I guess!

That's exactly what I just did. I don't know the exact amounts because I never measure it, but I cut about 3" off the length my self (using a crea clip) a couple of months ago, then last Thursday I had another 5 or 6" cut off at the hairdressers and lots of layers put in.
So I went from several inches past waist to mid back.

I had it done, I like it, it's not quiet as short as I thought it's more jean waist band than my actual waist-it's always nice to thicken up the ends though :) How do I post pics?

Wow! that's so unlike you to be so trim happy ;) i hope you love your new ends though. To the OP i hope you have a good experience and enjoy wearing your hair down when you've had it done.

It is, isn't it? Oh well, I got so tired of the length all of a sudden. And it still needs to be manageable for me, which is a big thing! I was thinking of cutting back to APL, but that was just... too much, you know.

I've chopped from almost hip to waist and BSL twice now, but am determined to stick it out this time.

It is surprisingly difficult to take pics.......LOL I managed in the end :) In the before pics my hair is un-plaited and combed (hence giving it more length) in the second after pic its been plaited and combed hence a little bit of the length is taken up with waves and fluff:

Yeah I really like the length, I'll let it grow back to the original length then cut it back to this length again. I don't think I'll go shorter until I feel I need to-which sounds stupid LOL-but I do sometimes get the impression that some people see long hair as unprofessional or weird. I once got a lecture from a complete stranger (women) who told me I could be so much 'more' if I cut my hair.....seriously? WTF?
