I have no idea how to find you Phalaenopsis, but I know you are here on the LHC. I just recently found your youtube video for the Pha bun and I had to say thank you! This is a great bun that holds so well! Genius! Super happy to have more than one bun that holds all day. :agree:

For now I'm doing it with a stick. I had sworn off of two prong forks because of difficulty in getting them to hold my hair up, but now I may have to buy another and see if this works as well with one as it does with my TTs.

My hair is way too short for that. :( Damn you, thickness!

Like!

I also love this bun - it's one of my favorite go-to's.

Phal rocks!

Looks lovely but I also have no forks! I've just tried it with a stick and seem to have some trouble getting the tension right, it feels like it's pulling on my roots way too much

I am using a TT to hold mine and I feel no pulling at all, it's great, like it's not even there!

It took me a bit of practice to get the tension right, but great bun! I too, do it with a single stick.

One of my favorite buns! I wear it several times a week. I have a two-prong acrylic for from Chevalure (etsy) that works perfectly to hold it. I can't get it to work with a single stick, I have to use my two-prong fork.

It's my second favourite bun too, but I usually also have problems with it getting a bit too tight. I do it with a two prong fork. This definitely is something I do if I want to make a nice looking bun that holds like a rock, but it's not one for the headache days. :)

That is a lovely looking bun! I have just 'favourited' it so that I can give it a try now that my hair is longer. :)

I use a 3 prong 6 inch fork. Holds very well. Thank you Phal for a great vid (one I found a few months ago) and to all of you who take the time to makes great videos and teach us what we need to know.

Is that what that bun is called? I do that all the time! LOL. Mine works fine with a single stick.

Not come across this one before, but I've been wearing it all day with a 2 prong fork and I love it! Makes a nice change to my usual nautilus and stays nicely. I had to put it in a few times to get the tension right, but that's true of any new bun.

ughhh I might have to wait until I reach hip length to do this cause of my thick hairs. Congrats to all who can do this though. I'm jealous.

Hi Kherome, just saw this thread. Thank you, this is very sweet of you :flower:
I have kind of ignored my youtube channel, because I've been more ill and also had a fulltime job (which I had to quit now because of the illness).
I'm really surprised and honoured that people still check out my youtube videos! You made my day :)

Thanks for posting the tutorial video. This has now become my favorite bun. It's so pretty and it stays all day.

I would love to do all these kinds of buns but I can't. The back of my skull is completely flat, so buns generally look awful because they exaggerate this unless they are very loose/messy and voluminous.. which you can't do easily with hair sticks/forks. ;__;

Wow brilliant! I just found this! I'm using a single stick (a knitting needle) and wearing mine horizontally as a low nape bun. I like low buns, but they often wobble. In this case the tension works as a very solid, tidy nape bun.

Cheers! :) :)

Makes me want to master sticks and forks! I'm such a klutz when it comes to them. And look at the thickness of her ends! :thud: So pretty!

Kind of an old picture, but here is another Pha in a TT, full sized Chloe, (I tried a petite and my bun ate it)!
