I'm well overdue for my 2 year hair anniversary! I cut my waist-length? (might've been a little longer) hair off to shoulder back in January 2011. Decided within a day to grow it back out. :D Joined here March 2011 and found the fabulous renegrays who helped me keep firm in my decision to not dye my hair. My goal has been waist and I'm not sure if I'll go longer, or even a little shorter, but it'll never be shorter than BSL again!
So the first year I only trimmed it once and took off half an inch and made it to a little past APL. Then this last year I did two very big trims of a few inches each to thicken up the hemline. So, while I actually made it to waist early last month, it is now about midback (stretched.)
So now for what you really come to these threads for--pics!;)
Starting length and status of silver streaks Mar/April 2011

sorry, no pics of the back because I couldn't manage it and my oldest DD hadn't got the hang of the camera yet.
Last year March (airdried while sleeping and uncombed--nothing but full reality :) )

Hair at it's longest Mar/Apr 2013 It is waist--remember some hair is inbetween my fingers. It's been brushed to get ready for the trim

Then, just after my trim a pic to show the status of my streaks (yep, it's my avatar for now) You can see that I'm spreading more on getting salt n peppery a bit on top.

And then, just a few days ago I took this. Just like last year, airdried while slept on and uncombed. :)

And my streaks and stray sparkles are starting to make themselves known from the back too.
I learned this year to trim my hair myself! Thanks to Feye's self-trimming method. I also learned to CWC more often than CO washing, but I use both methods. I gave up trying any gels and mousses almost entirely (I may still try mousse and a diffuser to bring out my waves for a special occasion, but I can't stand to be bothered with it most of the time.) And I'm enjoying my hairsticks and a few forks.
It's been nice learning from you all. :flower:
