Though I've been away from the boards for a while now, I thought it might be nice to share a little bit of my hair journey, boring though it's been!
When I started at LHC in 2008 I was one very confused longhair-- I was at classic, but had no idea how to style my hair and used all sorts of unpleasant things like rubber bands and awful brushes on my hair, and it wasn't happy! I had been stalled at classic for about 3 years, and I had no idea why.
Then I discovered LHC, a treasure trove of hair knowledge and great people. I learned how to use hair sticks, I threw away my rubber bands, and I started using henna and discovered my love of hair forks, and it worked! My hair still doesn't grow very quickly, but I've been slowly but steadily gaining length since then, with one big 6-inch trim and several 1-2 inch trims interspersed.
A length retrospective: the first three are from 2009, the fourth and fifth are from 2010, and the last one is from this afternoon, when I discovered that I'm at past knee length (I honestly thought I was still there, and I have no idea what this new length is called)!

A few of my zanier hair adventures:

My trusty Jeterfork, one of the few survivors of my 2012 hair toy purge (others include my Amish pins and a few handmade hairsticks):

And a nice spring style that makes me happy:

Happy hair journey, everyone! I look forward to getting reacquainted with those I've lost contact with, and meeting all of the lovely new people who've joined the boards in my absence.
