Can I call this hip? (couple of pics)

My hair is all one length, it just doesn't look like it because some strands are floating off to one side and giving me a fake taper.

The looks like hip to me, congratulations! Not suggesting you don't know where your own hips are, but in the second picture your thumbs don't look to be at the top of the iliac crest, whereas in the top picture you hair looks like it passes that point :)

I totally get what you're saying, actually! I think I was overextending my thumbs, for some reason whenever I go to rest them on the top of my hipbones they wind up level with the hollows in the small of my back (no idea what those are called). Stupid hitchhiker thumbs :p

Looks like hip to me. Congrats!! Here on LHC it's usually counted from wherever you can fel the top of your hip bone jutting, which is above what most people think of as your hips. That way whether you gain or lose weight for example it will still be in the same place.
