My hair is naturally a dark blonde/light brown colour and I colour it various shades of red/pink/auburn. However I'm getting bored of all the colour run from the dye, and want something perhaps a little lighter. Last time I used colour B4 I was dark brown and it took me to dark strawberry blonde. I'm debating whether I should have another shot at using colour B4 just to see what colour it comes out. What do you guys think?

This is my hair now complete with bun waves, it's an auburn kind of colour. Not the best pic, but you get the idea.

Last time I used colour B4 it dried my hair out but didn't seem to do any lasting damage to my hair, so I'm not too worried about that. There was henna underneath all the dye too which is why I think it ended up strawberry rather than just dark blonde.

My other thoughts are going back to using henna, do you reckon the colour I have now is achievable with henna? I can't remember what colour I ended up with with henna, I just remember the condition was amazing.

Ion Color Brilliance Color Corrector. It's amazing! It says for oxidation dyes but it got out Manic Panic Midnight Blue and I had at least 3 layers of it.

You will probably need 3 boxes and a 10vol developer to rinse after to close the cuticle. If you try to color with out first rinsing in the 10vol developer your hair will turn green.

Good luck!

You can get very close to that colour with henna, this is a photo of my hair from today, the colour is very similar :)

If you are thinking of stipping back to natural though, I wouldn't go to henna just yet. As you've used it before, you know how perminent it is, so you need to be totally decided on being that colour :)
I've used ColourB4 several times now, and found it to be completely undamaging as long as you address the initial dryness. I'd say do that first, see how you like it, you can always re-dye or henna later on if you wish :)

I think I'll be sticking with red, I'm just curious as to what's lurking underneath all the box dyes and directions. I can't remember why I stopped using henna. I'll give it some time before going back though.

Adore do some nice red shades, I loved my Directions colour but like you got very fed up with the run off. I now use darkest brown by Adore & don't have a problem :) It's another semi perm veg dye, it leaves my hair very soft and shiny. The directions say to process with heat for 15 mins, then leave on for a further 15 mins, but I leave it on for hours for more staying power on my virgin roots. It's working well for me.

So I did it, and here's the results

It's a really fiery orange fading to blonde on top. I kinda like it, think I'm going to keep it like this for a while. Though I'm tempted to dip dye the ends with a pink semi just to add to the multi tonal effect!

It does look trendy like it was done on purpose.

I love your hair!....and the new colour is nice, although I think I prefer the first one...seems more 'interesting', don't get me wrong though...I think any of the two are fine since your hair is great

You had a lovely result! :) I've also used Colour B4 kind of colour removers several times, and love how one can instantly go from redhead to blonde, without any visible damage ;) Though my results are usually the opposite, darker at roots and blonder at the ends :)
