After doing the CG method for 3 weeks, August last year. I completely forgot what conditioner I was using then but my curls haven't been that well behaved recently, wish I could remember!

Yay, curls! :applause Such lovely hair everyone!

It gets me thinking. I tried letting my hair curl a few days ago, and I noticed that it doesn't seem as curly as before with my length. My bangs that I have been growing out curl all over the place though, so the weight of my hair might be pulling them down more.

I'm very envious of all of you. When my hair was shorter it was solidly 3a/b. Now that I'm at TBL, it's 2c at best. And of course, when it was shorter I hadn't discovered the LHC yet, so I had no idea how to take care of it. :(

Very pretty! Love all the curly pics!

My hair curls really nicely when it's APL or shorter, something in the zone of 3a/b. Now that I am nearing hip, it's so heavy that most of the curl is being pulled straight/wavy. It's more like a 2a/b now.

Since I've been wearing my hair up all the time, cutting back on conditioner, using a comb instead of just my fingers, and towel-turbaning (only way to get it to dry in a reasonable amount of time) my curl level has dropped probably down into the 2c range most days. :( View:

So that's a bummer. It's just more trouble than it's worth to do everything 'right' to keep the curls happy at this length, when I'm wearing it up 90% of the time anyway. If I lived in a humid climate things would be different (see: photo taken in ultrahumid New Jersey (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=11083&attachmentid=3851)).

:thudpile: I loooooooooove curls! (Actually, I love every single hair type. And I'm not just being politically correct here. :rollin: I change my mind about which is my favorite every single day!)

I don't actually have curly hair. I have 2b hair that sometimes borders on 2c when it's humid and I get sausage curls in the front. But these are my most recent photos, which are also more accurate because this is more like what my hair is usually like wave-wise. :) For some reason, my front/sides either get juicy curls, or... are weird and frizzy-straight looking. :confused: That's how they are here.

I also tend to sacrifice wave/curl definition for volume most of the time, because I looove big hair. That explains why my hair is a bit fluffy all the time. It's not fair that SOME people (coughcough longcurlygirl cough) get to have the best of both worlds: incredible curls and volume! :p But it looks incredible!
