....who wants to guess the amount of tangles and snags at the end of a day of swimming? :(
Any advice for stopping the water tangles is appreciated!
Any other long haired mermaids out there?
let's be friends! www.facebook.com/mermaidavalon

Great pics! It's really interesting how much darker/redder your hair looks underwater (at least to my monitor).

Very pretty, and I really like your outfit, too. :flowers:

I know there's one other member who has mermaid outfits and is also a mermaid - hopefully she shows up to comment. :)

thanks, all! So odd to me how dark my hair looks underwater, when really is it quite blonde. I think I may try using a clip in ponytail or something and put the rest up in a bun underneath.....not sure if I have too much hair to pull that off, though, and still have it look realistic! ahhh!

That is super cool! Is it your job?

Olive oil (which I cut with rice brain oil to make it thinner, but this may not be necessary if you wash more than 1-2 times/week) really helps me with tangles. I put it on dry hair and it makes tangles slip out 100 times easier with much less breakage. Normally a light coating of EVOO means I don't even really get tangles... but after an exceptional circumstance (like yours), waiting until it is totally dry and then applying 3 drops of olive oil before detangling makes it much easier to untangle. Hope that helps you too!

I use detangling spray like my life depends on it, specifically Johnson & Johnson's No More Tears detangling spray, I love it and use it after every hair washing as well as on dry hair (especially after modelling when they tease your hair to high heaven without consent) or after swimming, I find it provides great slip and stops my very fine hair from snapping when detangling, I don't know if that could help or not :flower:

I don't have a lot of advise about detangelling but those pictures make me want to be a mermaid! But I don't have a tail so I'll have to stick to fairy dress up for now
