I have wavy/curly hair, been growing my hair for 2 years and 9 months now. My length:

*Shoulder-length (when dry)
*Somewhere between APL and BSL (although it is spine or whatever is equivalent in case of a guy) (when wet)

I am planning for waist-length (when dry), so how much time do I still need for this?

Thanks :)

Most hair grows around 6 inches a year. Measure the distance from where your hair ends to your waist and work it out that way. Also, take into account your shrinkage with your curls.

Give it 6 months then remeasure. I'm not sure if it will take that long.

I'd reckon at least a couple of years from dry shoulder to dry waist.

I have wavy/curly hair and it took about three years from chin to waist. My growth rate is probably slightly above average, but I'd say I grow in the 6-8" range yearly. I'd guess since you're at SL now (dry, that is), and you're a guy (so presumably a fairly long torso), lapuska's estimate of two years is about right. Maybe a few months less.
