and this is what i started with 4 years ago

and this was pretty much the only option i had left to me in how to get it looking nice back then which is painful to look back upon -
http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu32/rachelheales/hair/hairsticks.jpg allot of coconut oil.
When i joined LHC i hated my hair and it was one of two options. Shave it or henna it and hope it would work (and yes i was that desperate) . I researched and then signed up here after for odd tweaks before i took the plunge as most of my information kept forwarding to this website anyway. I had nothing else to loose . My hair was brittle and i couldn't dare do anything more to it before it fell off. Henna had benefits of strength and thickness and at this point colour was a secondary luxury. Originally in my plans of henna i was going to add indigo to return to my natural shade then i saw issues with indigo (when bleached it more stubborn then henna and stays green).
I felt "don't rush" and build it up (what have you got to loose) . Build up henna till it's at it darkest and then add indigo if it's not enough in colour for you months down the line. Anyway i stayed with henna only. Red in chemical form always looked odd on me but henna at full satiation / cherry cola form i absolutly love to this day.
I've S&D and only cut into shape twice which minimal length removed.
Recently i admit i have been very slack last two years with S&Ding and would have gained more length keeping it up but i think it being new lengths (i had never seen before on myself) it growing not so fast allows me time to get used to it and new hair does on route.
Hope this give some inspiration.
My hair is far from perfect but it's much better then it was and i have complete sympathy for new comers who have joined like i did 4 years ago and feel disappear.
All i can say is "breath, pause and look/research your options. There are options and there is hope and if all else fails it keeps growing, It's is hair after all"
