so i had about 4 inches of virgin hair--ashy brown with some grey sparkles. i've stopped using henna, even though it really saved my bleached-dyed-bleached-dyed-bleached hair. the color was getting too burgundy. i prefer warm tones on me. anyway, i wanted to try cassia to see if a) it would make my hair feel thicker and stronger like henna and b) if it would cover the gray sparklers. i mixed 100 mg cassia with chamomille tea made from dried chamomille flowers (both from henna sooq) and some EVOO (i remember cassia being drying and irritating my scalp a bit).
so, here's the problem: i got side-tracked and the cassia mix was out for 24 hours. i was worried that its effectiveness would be non-existant. i tried about 20 times to search LHC and the internet in general to find out if cassia loses its potency. couldn't find an answer so i had to experiment. i put it on anyway (why throw it out?) and left it on overnight.
after rinsing and doing an SMT my hair feels great and i seem to have gotten about 70% gray coverage and an overall gold tone. i'm hoping that the color will accumulate after repeated treatments.
