Who wants to join me and give encouragement to others :D i'm " just" hip and true TB is about 35 or 36 inches . I know there are various threads like waist-tb but i cant see one for those wanting to get to tailbone by the end of the year. I think i could possibly make it with help from my friend whey protein :cool: by the way if your wondering how can she manage it with those measurements i'm very short.

I'm hopefull I'll get there too. I'm just past 33 inches and I make tail bone to be 38. If my hair is happy then it grows between 3/4 and 1.5 inches a month so I'll be treating it as kindly as possible and crossing my fingers!

How often do you all measure? Monthly?

Yay plenty of us should make it :D i try not to measure to much or i just get frustrated by the measuring tape! i'm in the no trimming so i should make it. I think i get about a inch a month.

Ooo, let me in :beercheer: With my wavy hair I'm at tailbone (middle of my long bum) when the hair is wet. It drastically shrinks when dried. I don't even have my measuring tape in the place where I am currently staying :doh: I want to achieve TBL hair when in its natural wavy state, so I'm joining :hollie:

Hmm.. The longest parts of my hair are about 2,6" away from BCL when stretched out, so TBL by December should be doable. At least TBL when wet. :D I don't plan on having any trims this year, as my ends are looking fine and I wear my hair up for the most part.
I've read about quite a few people using whey protein to promote growth, and I think it could be worth a try. Do you use a specific brand? Is it expensive?

Lucky you! I'm afraid I will need to cut 1-2 inches if my oiling so-called-plan (haphazard routine ;) ) won't help me stand somehow the poor condition of my endings.. :shake:

I usually don't put time-limits on my goals, to save myself from the disappointment if I don't get there in time. However, I have been hoping for TBL in 2013 ever since I reached BCL in the autumn last year, so I'm definitely going to try. Unfortunately, I have fine, fragile hair that breaks if I look at it wrong, and if I go too long without trims the breakage takes over and my hair stalls. :justy: I recently had to cut back to BCL (37") due to breakage. I think TBL (40") in 2013 might still be possible, but it depends on how much I need to trim.

Im in! I just trimmed, so i'm HIP+, 1 or 2inch from BCL and TBL is only another inch and a half after that... So around 3 inches, which I could reach by summer. Sadly I still have those darn layers to trim out.

Right now I just want to get to BCL for my birthday in may, which could happen if I manage to put down the scissors :rolleyes:

EDIT: Actually scrap that i'm going to leave my hair to grow, then at the start of may get an inch trim at the hairdressers. Maybe if i scalp massage daily, protein shakes etc then I'll still net some growth after a trim

Oooh, I hope I can be at TB by December! It's kind of weird to think this year is almost half over. I thought my hair would have grown a lot more by now. :/ There was about 2 months in the beginning of the year that my hair didn't grow AT ALL! But luckily it has started to grow again.

I'm going for TBL solid by Dec. with a lovely gentle u-hemline. I have 2-3 inches to go and I am not a fast grower - however, I think 1/2 inch a month is average for me. It's doable.

You could just keep growing till its there and then do a few months of maintaining, i'm just about a mm away from hip dry so i think i could make it by Dec i was going to cut on the 6th my birthday but if i'm really close to TB i will hold out till after Christmas .

I'll join too! I might not be able to make it but if I do not trim anymore this year I should be get atleast near it. I've been microtrimming for half a year to thicken up but decided to only S&D for some now so I can keep growing. I'm at hip at about 33 inches now and TBL is still 4 inches away, so I'll tag along until I'm... somewhere. :)

I am now slowly closing in on BCL which is approx 2 inches away. Actually I have now officially well passed the butt dimples area so I'm starting to be closer to BCL than hip now. OMG = Oh My Growth! I never thought this day would come! :)

I'm about 1/2" - 1" away. I'd say September and with a trim in August, I should be there solidly by October. I think I might feel like I'm getting somewhere after TBL. It has been a loooong growing journey second time round - I had so many hitches along the way (mostly in the name of hairdresser disasters)

I'm sooo close to BCL! I think ca.3 cm away? I haven't used a measuring tape, but when it's wet it looks like it's almost there. I've tried to locate my tailbone, and it appears to be very close to BCL. I'm pretty sure I'll make it :)

After a much needed trim, I'm about 3" away from TBL (without stretching the waves) so my goal now is to make it by December 2013 with a nice hemline. I'll be very happy if I achieve that this year. I'm not in a hurry now, just want good quality growing :)

Hairitic, I can't see the rest of your body but it looks, from this angle, that you must be already close to TBL - do I'd say definitely you will make it.
