Anyone made Flaxseed gel for curls or conditioner additive?

I was going through Youtube and found a recipe on making flaxseed gel for hair. I made the gel (so simple, just boil half a cup in 3 cups water for 10 min then strain) and if you like the feeling of cones in your conditioner the extra slip you get this gel is amazing for that. It also works so well on defining curls and keeping it throughout the day. :)) just had to share

I do, but I make it as a spray gel. After taking my hair out of the towel, I spray it and plop it in a microfiber tee for a while. It gives awesome shine. Sometimes I use catnip tea for part of the water.

I have tried making it many times before, but I find it extremely difficult to make so I just quit trying. The gel would never strain, but instead would remain with the seeds on the inside of the strainer. :(
