Honey lightening hair?

I want to try honey on my hair to see how well it works to condition. I just added a big glob of it to my conditioner bottle and mixed it up well.

I'm curious if using this with every wash (I am a daily washer) and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes while i shower will eventually lighten or brighten my hair. My natural color is a bit drab and I would love to lighten it up a little without having to do a 2 hour honey and olive oil treatment that I read about. I don't really want to take the time to do that if I don't need to. Also I really don't like olive oil in my hair.

So will daily conditioner with honey added help lighten it up?
