Hi, all -- some of you may remember me from a while back; I made it to TBL and had the hair of my dreams, then was diagnosed with cancer and had to lose it all. It got hard to be here for a while there, and then LHC was going through the upgrade, but I think I'm ready to be back now. As a reminder, here was my hair pre-diagnosis:

Ye gods and goddesses, that's hard for me to see still. :(

And here's my head after chemo:

Here's my one-year growth shot from November:

and here is my hair now:

I am henna-ing today to try to do something with that two-toned mess.... you really never know what you are going to get when you grow your hair out post-chemo! lol

Anyhow -- it looks like it is slowly but surely getting to a point where I could feel like I was making a little progress back toward TBL, so I wanted to share that with people I know would care about hair growth, lol

Shorty89 -- it's crazy curly if I don't brush it out. They call that "chemo curl." I am hoping eventually it will weigh itself down a little! lol Louise -- it's so funny, because I used to spend a lot of money trying to get curly hair via perms when I was a teenager, and now I'm just wishing it were straight again! The grass really is always greener... ;P

Your hair is absolutely beautiful. It must have been so hard losing all your TBL hair, but it's growing back wonderfully.

Wow that's some really thick and lush post chemo hair! My friends hair never grew back in full, it was thin and light to the point you could see more scalp than hair for years after. Welcome back to the journey! :o

Your hair looks beautiful in all of the pictures, I am even a little jealous. ^^ I love the curls you're getting. I bet that will look even more amazing when it gets back to tailbone. :)

Welcome back! You are an inspiration :) May I just say (as weird as it may sound) that you have a beautiful head. Such a great shape and an elegant neck! My head is totally flat at the back and attached to a wide, stumpy neck :P Loving the curlies :)

Thank you all so much for the welcoming back! I appreciate it so much. I've completed the henna, but I'm not sure it did anything -- I think I might need to go with a straight full-on application instead of a gloss to get any results. But my hair smells like henna! That's something, anyhow. Pictures when it dries.

Hahaha -- Woolyleprechaun, that's what my Mom said -- at least if you have to be bald, your head has a nice shape to it. I have to admit it was interesting to see what my head looked like under the hair -- but I hope I never have to do that again!

Okay -- henna's dry!

Thank you so much, everyone! :) :flower: It's great to be so welcomed -- I went into the LHC length thread and instead of feeling depressed and upset, I felt encouraged and motivated -- I guess that's a sign that it's time to be back! :)
