Daughters goal length is getting further away!

The little one is 8 1/2, her goal length is classic, she was about half an inch away at Christmas. I trimmed half an nice off as the ends were getting really nasty, putting her an inch away.....but......she has suddenly had a major growth spurt, all her trousers are looking really short and her hair is now almost 2 inches from classic!
we're measuring once a month so she can see that her hair is growing but it's obviously not growing down as quickly as she is currently shooting up, hope she slows down a bit soon, can't afford all the new clothes and if her feet grow it'll be new ice skates (£££££££) lol

The growth spirt should only last a short while. I am sure her hair will catch up. In the meantime just let her know that her hair is not getting shorter. She is getting taller. Good luck with the clothes buying. My daughter grew to be almost 6 ft and she could almost sit on her hair until she cut it.
