Hair typing take 2 (photo heavy!)

The last time when I took hair typing pictures, my hair was chin length and so it was hard to tell what my true wave pattern was. Now that it's longer, I'm trying to hair type again and I could use your input! My hair is very thick and takes a looooong time to dry, so its rare that I have the patience to let it air dry completely without touching it.

Here's a picture from the left side. For some reason this part of my hair has a straighter texture than the rest.

WOAAAH! Seems like we're almost hair twins (except for the color :) ) Same wavy pattern, same texture.
I classified myself as 1c/2a. I was definitely a 2a or even 2b/c when my hair was shorter, but since my hair is thick like yours, it becomes heavier and less wavy the longer it gets.

2a, you've got very definite waves everywhere, tho the wavelength is relatively long.

2a. Your hair is a lot like mine, too--right down to the under-layers being a little wavier. Really in these pictures though, your wave pattern looks a lot like mine does when my hair isn't properly moisturized. You may find, as I have, that with consistent oiling and a routine that focuses on moisturizing, that you'll move from 1c/2a territory into solid 2a, maybe pushing 2b in the under layers.

Our hair is so similar! I am also 1c/2a and have the same length hair as you. I actually think neither of us has hair long enough to really determine the type yet.
