Also, lovely hair DanceInSunshine, and guska please don't worry about your sideburns! I used to have the same issue when I was 17/18 and would bleach them, which looking back was unnecessary as they looked fine. But I was really really self-conscious about it so I know how you feel. Not sure how old you are but mine were completely grown out by the time I was about 19 (and had stopped cutting them). I would never have noticed yours had you not pointed it out, and I do not think they look bad at all, in fact I think they kind of add shape to your hairline. And you have awesome hair anyway so no need to shave them :flower:

Freshly washed yesterday. Combed and twisted into a pseudo bun to put the sleeping cap on. Let free this morning and combed again. Apparently it still had a little dampness when I bunned it to sleep (love bun waves!) THIS is when I absolutely love my hair! So fluffy!

Wow lottie your hair grows like mad! It can be a little hard to tell from that angle, as a downwards angle always makes my hair look two or three inches longer than it is, but I'm pretty sure you've hit waist! Congrats :cheer: your hair is beautiful.

Thank you so much! I am Not really using a CG method. My hair dries much Wavier if i simply wash my hair with my head upside down. I do a very ordinary "shampoo first and conditioner second" washing. :)

My hair just has a character of it's own. Some days it's more wavy, almost curly. Some days it's almost stick straight. Hahaha. I actually don't mind it.

Thank you :) I call it 3a because I think that's what the canopy is, so it looks like that overall. But there's sections of everything from 2a to 3a and from very fine and blonde, to black kinky and crazy course. I kind of wish it was more consistent but whatever.

Hi ! I just wanted to share that I dyed my hair green! I was itching to dye my hair a bright colour again because when I had henna I couldn’t do much. So I just put a semi permanent dye over top of my natural and henna hair and it turned out more intense then I expected and I didn’t even bleach! Luckily semi permanent washes out so if I get bored of it, it’s not a big deal.

I used Punky Color by Jerome Russell and funny enough it was called alpine green as well! I was really happy of how nice it came out and it sticks to my hair really well even though I didn’t bleach :)

My sister is visiting for the weekend and I gave in to her repeated requests to straighten my hair. I'd never had it straightened before...it feels sooo different. I don't like how it feels loose as much since it takes a lot of the volume out and it gets in the way more, but I really like how smooth my pony is. I won't make a habit of this though, in part because I don't feel like dropping the money for an iron and also because it took her almost and hour this morning.

Haha yes, she asks for braids every day! I’m very good at them now. Yesterday she asked for 5 rows of small braids, and ended up looking like some kind of Snoop Dog rapper or something haha.
My mum taught my sister and I to braid our own hair very early on because she was sick of our crazy hair requests!

But maybe as I look after her hair when she’s little, she’ll grow to love it more and more each day and be much more kind to it as a young adult. Oh no! Gosh, and it looks SO pretty! :) It may just be the contrast between your own hair and the darker hair right now, sort of an optical illusion. If that hair is cut off it might seem darker again. I'd wait it out for sure! :)

I lost a lot of hair, from tips to middle length (it would fall in chunks). I've been very unmotivated after that. My hair is still not recovered, and thickness is 2/3 of what it used to be.
Here's an english side braid length check from yesterday. Still working on thickening the last 10 inches, but it's looking much better than 6 months ago..

we have very similar hair colour (i'm a bit more golden toned) and your braid is my ultimate goal. it's terrible that you had that accident, but know your hair looks incredible nonetheless. :)

I use Alpine Green from Directions, but dye directly over my natural mid-brown. My hair routine is a bit of a lazy one to be honest - I wash once a week with Essano rosehip shampoo and conditioner (or Pinkalicious shampoo bar if Ethique have it in stock), and use the Lush Damaged hot oil treatment once every four to six weeks.
Every so often I forget how long it actually is!

When I first dyed it this colour I was actually using a blue dye but it went green, so I guess the universe meant for me to have green hair!

The updo I ended up wearing to my cousin's wedding (and my mom liked it, so yay! Victory for all!). It's twin two-strand lace braids that go around my hairline and end as regular rope braids wrapped around my head. I call this updo "A Thousand Bobby Pins".

Note: this isn't the photo of the updo from the wedding, it's a picture of the time I tried it out for the first time around a week ago, hense the messiness and visible bobby pins and spin pins. The actual hairstyle I did for the wedding was much neater.

Today's braided bun. This is my first braided bun pic for LHC, and I really feel like a "member of the club" now! It was a bigger bun than I expected! I found this pic really encouraging.
