Have any of you ladies tried this route to encourage hair growth?

I, many years ago, worked with a lady who would trim her hair according to the Farmers Almanac. She was well below her shoulder blades in no time!

So, I have an Almanac and want to share the dates with you.

February : 12, 13, 16-18, 21, 22

I'm a bit confused. Does this mean she trimmed her hair five times in February?

No, sorry for the confusion. If you chose to do a trim, chose one of these days.

I've never heard of this method before. Some members here schedule their trims in accordance with the moon's cycles, but I don't know of any scientific basis for that. Google 'longhair community moon trimming' and you'll find a few threads on this subject.

Is your almanac moon-based? Or there are other methods behind :)?

The lunarium that I check is an almanac, they are traditionally for gardening or farm-related works. Basically, an almanac is a calendar with aggiuntive informations, like the moon cycles and star positions, so technically all moon calendars are almanacs. No scientific basis, as far as I know, but I find pleasurable to trim my hair accordingly to seasonal cycles, like a tree.

The tread is called Trimming and the Moon, and its in the Mane Forum.

mine is the plain ol Farmer's Almanac and it has this section telling you when to trim you hair to encourage group. I did think all almanacs were according to the moon.

I'll check out that other thread, thanks for pointing out. All I searched was "almanac" before I started this thread. I apologize.

:D The search function for this site is pretty rubbish. If you're looking for a specific subject, you'll generally have much better results by googling 'Long hair community [plus whatever keywords you'd like]'.

I've started trimming according to the Farmers Almanac dates.
